By law, we must publish a document that explains who can apply for social housing in the Borough and who gets priority. We must show who qualifies to join the register and how we make sure the people in the greatest need are housed. We do this through our Housing Allocation Scheme.

It is important to review the scheme annually to ensure it remains fit for purpose and accurately reflects current housing need in the Borough, ensures best use of housing stock is realised, supports the Local Authority to continue to meet duties owed to households and also accommodates new legislation.

Corby Borough Council and Kettering Borough Council have open consultations on their proposed Housing Allocation Schemes and welcome your views.  Please visit the consultation page here for more information.
