NEW Keyways Housing Allocations Scheme Launched on 9 September 2026
North Northamptonshire Council is pleased to confirm that the revised Keyways Housing Allocations Scheme went live on Wednesday 9 September 2026. The new scheme was approved following a comprehensive review of the housing allocations process and is designed to ensure that the limited supply of social housing is prioritised for households with the greatest housing need.
What Does This Mean for Existing Applicants?
As part of the transition to the new scheme, all applications have been reviewed against the revised qualification and banding criteria. Some applicants may no longer qualify to remain on the housing register if they do not have a recognised housing need under the new scheme. If your application is affected, you will have receive a letter or email explaining the decision and outlining the housing options available to you. Information has also been provided on how to make further enquiries if your circumstances have changed or you disagree with our decision.
